The university has made significant progress both internationally and locally in the latest edition of the Green Metric World University Ranking published by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The new version of the international ranking showed that the university has achieved an advanced position among 78 Iraqi universities that entered the ranking. This remarkable success comes as a result of the precise scientific plans and programs launched by the university’s president, Prof. Dr. Hussein Kamel Al-Shaher, in recent times, aimed at improving the academic, research, and administrative standards of the university. This is not the first success for Al-Muthanna University, as it has previously achieved many significant accomplishments. It is worth noting that the Green Metric World Ranking evaluates universities based on the sustainability of their operations and their commitment to clean environmental standards, according to several criteria related to the environment and sustainability within the campus, including infrastructure and the quality of the educational process.
