President of Al-Muthanna University Inspects the New College of Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity in Preparation for Welcoming Students
September 16, 2025Within the framework of the in-depth scientific orientations set by the Presidency of Al-Muthanna University under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hussein Kamel Al-Shaher, Al-Muthanna University participated in the international meeting on global water protection. The university was represented by Dr. Laith Naeem Hassouni, a lecturer in the College of Applied Medical Sciences, at the meeting organized by the Ecosystem Club in Russia.
The meeting, held under the title “Living Waters: A Global Dialogue to Save Freshwater Ecosystems”, discussed ways of cooperation between the scientific community, business sectors, and civil society to protect the “blue arteries” of the planet. It also reviewed real case studies, ranging from high-tech monitoring to the revival of traditional water conservation methods. This international participation of Al-Muthanna University comes as part of its continuous efforts to strengthen its scientific and research standing at the global level, in line with the strategic vision of the university’s presidency to engage with international expertise and contribute effectively to addressing globally significant issues, foremost among them the issue of freshwater and the preservation of aquatic ecosystems.
