October 13, 2024The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025 have been released, evaluating hundreds of universities from various countries around the world. Al-Muthanna University achieved a significant competitive ranking, entering the global rankings for the first time and securing fourth place among 19 Iraqi public universities that made it into the ranking.
The competing universities are evaluated based on 20 performance indicators across five main pillars: teaching (31%), research environment (31%), research quality (24%), international outlook (8%), and societal impact (6%). The university’s president, Professor Dr. Hussein Kamel Al-Shaher, had launched an extensive plan aimed at advancing the university academically and administratively, which led to the university’s remarkable successes both locally and internationally.
