The University of Al-Muthanna, under the auspices of Professor Dr. Hussein Kamel Al-Shaher, the university president, has been witnessing for several months the construction and establishment of “Al-Muthanna University Museum,” which is annexed to the Central Library of the University. It has been designed according to the standards of Iraqi museums, based on specific measurements and a lighting system that suits the artifacts of this museum. On his part, the university president affirmed that the university museum will be our new cultural identity, not only for the university but also for the governorate and the region as a whole. Working on it is among the priorities of the university presidency and its developmental projects within the framework of sustainable development projects. He added, Currently, preparations are underway to equip the museum with materials, artifacts, and cultural components representing the entirety of Iraqi civilization and its heritage from all epochs. This museum aims to be a destination for visitors and researchers interested in the history of Iraq across different periods. Additionally, the university has signed a partnership agreement with the management of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine Museum to exchange expertise and contribute to the scientific and systematic development of our museum .
