Al-Muthanna University has achieved a positive ranking, securing the seventh position among Iraqi universities. Global universities competed in the 2025 Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject based on eighteen indicators, including teaching, research environment, research quality, industry income, and international outlook. Dr. Ali Sadeq, the Director of the Quality Assurance Department at Al-Muthanna University, stated: “Once again, the university has achieved a remarkable result in international rankings by reaching this advanced position in the new Times ranking. This success was made possible thanks to the direct follow-up of the university’s president, Dr. Hussein Kamil Al-Shaher, to the activities of the colleges and research centers, as well as their scientific and administrative efforts. The dedication of the Quality Assurance Department staff and their commitment to carrying out their duties accurately cannot be overlooked.”  It is worth noting that Dr. Hussein Kamil Al-Shaher, the president of Al-Muthanna University, launched an extensive project aimed at enhancing the university’s academic and administrative performance, leading to significant local and global successes.
