Al-Muthanna University lunched the activities of the first scientific conference for the History Department at the College of Education for Human Sciences under the slogan “The Iraqi State in its First Centenary 1921-2021 the History and Visions.”
The proceedings of the conference were opened by Prof. Dr. Amer Ali Al-Atwi, the President of the University, with a speech in which he stressed the university’s endeavor to embrace and hold conferences at the university that would focus on the reality of problems in Iraq, find solutions to them, and put them in solid academic frameworks.
The conference witnessed the participation of forty researchers and academics electronically, who presented researches that contributed to the reading and framing of the last hundred years of Iraq’s life.
Assistant Professor Dr. Basem Khairy, the Dean of the College, said that “The conference comes within the College’s scientific plan for the second semester, and aims to open lines of cooperation with reputable universities, and to review the most important research experiences in this regard”.
The theme of the conference focused on the study of the political, economic and social history of Iraq within the last hundred years.
